The Carbon Footprint Calculator is an online tool for computing an individual's CO2 footprint. The "white-label" and customizable tool was designed for businesses and organizations to use with their employees, customers, and other stakeholders. The Calculator draws on current government data, a state-of-the-art emissions model, and utilizes the geographic location of its end-users to provide a personalized result.
An additional environmental pledge feature allows users to select from a variety of actions to lower their carbon footprint. The pledge feature can be used in combination with the Calculator or as a stand-alone engagement tool.

White Label Branding
C2ES uses the Carbon Calculator with its corporate partners. For each partner, a fully branded instance of the Calculator is deployed. From logos and color schemes to images and custom links, each instance has its own identity.
Footprint API
The Calculator's API allows the application's data and user responses to be used for a variety of creative and intelligent engagement activities. For example, the API can be used to enable custom data analysis or for targeted outreach campaigns based on any of a user's collected information (e.g., geographic region, home type, driving habits etc).
Responsive and Mobile
The Calculator is fully responsive so that it displays beautifully on all devices — desktops and laptops, tablets (e.g., iPads), smart phones (e.g., Android / iPhones) and similar devices. Not only is the pledge application built for any device, but it's also optimized so that it's snappy even on a mobile cellular connection.

Scheduled Emails
Interested users receive a full report of their footprint calculation by email. In addition, the tool allows C2ES to set-up, schedule and automatically send follow-up emails to maintain engagement and encourage action.
Easy Content Updates
Using the tool's content management system, C2ES can create brand new instances or revise any existing instances with little or no developer support.
Metrics and Reports
Administrators have direct access to a variety of reports that can be filtered by date, partner, and instance. The reporting system features in-browser output as well as CSV output for more robust data analysis needs.
