Skill Accessibility / Section 508
An accessible website is one where the site's information may be understood by users with disabilities, including those with visual impairments that use screen readers and those with hearing impairments. Federal law requires that all federal websites are made accessible according to Section 508 of the Disabilities Act. Tarek helps develop websites subject to Section 508, conducts accessibility audits, and provides consultation to website managers. I follow best practice for all websites according to the Web Accessibility Initiative and considers issues of accessibility from the outset of every project. Below are a sampling of relevant completed projects and tasks.
