task CMSense: Finished and released more than 100 functional enhancements to content/events mangement system
2010-10-01
I finally rolled out a new version of my content/events management system, which I now call CMSense. The update includes more than 100 functional, usability, and security enhancements. The new interface utilizes modest jQuery animations and Ajax. A ton of changes were made under the hood too, making developer customization super simple. Here's just a few of the changes:
- Built in Google Analytics API functionality that gives administrators real time stats about their website right in the system's dashboard
- Copy previous events to accelerate set up of new events and event registration pages
- Ajax record creation and saving
- Inline file uploading
- Registration caps and automatic waitlist feature
- Beefed up registrant email blast options -- send to all, admitted, wait-listed, confirmed, or just unconfirmed registrants
- Improved registrant export allows adminstrators to export just a select number of registration fields or all fields
- Various security enhancements
