Earlier this year, we were engaged to design and develop an interactive kiosk for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security of the US Department of State. The kiosk, an integral part of a larger "Fallen Memorial" to honor individuals that lost their lives in service, was launched on Friday September 18.
The touch-screen kiosk was built on modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery and more. The kiosk includes a searchable database of individuals, an interactive timeline component and other content features. Our role included designing and developing the kiosk, installing it on the Windows 8.1 hardware, and securing the system so that users were limited to only the memorial application.
