task Case Study: C2ES-Make an Impact Global Energy Pledge

I've posted a new case study about the work I did for the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) Make an Impact project. On behalf of one of their corporate clients, I designed and developed a pledge application/website. The site allowed their partners's employees to pledge to change a variety of actions to modify their behavior and reduce their energy consumption. 

The work started with a prototype, built using Twitter Bootstrap, and then a design phase. For the design, I built off of some of their existing print design assets to ensure continuity with a larger marketing campaign. Finally, I developed the entire application using php, mysql, and jquery, as well as AJAX techniques. The site stores the details of each user's pledge and allows administrators to access reports and modify content. The site is also fully responsive, offering a great experience on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops.

Ultimately, the project was a tremendous success. The number of employees that took the pledge far exceeded expectations and the carbon reduction pledges reached nearly three million pounds.
